The Basketball Champions League Final Four official draw ceremony took place on Tuesday in Museo Picasso Malaga, revealing the path that each of the four trophy contenders will have to navigate in the showpiece event in May.

The contest that will raise the curtain on the season-ending tournament of the BCL's seventh edition on Friday, May 12 - the first Semi-Final - will see Lenovo Tenerife, the defending Basketball Champions League champions, take on Israel's Hapoel Bank Yahav Jerusalem.

In the second Semi-Final, Final Four hosts Unicaja will go up against Germany's Telekom Baskets Bonn in a clash between clubs that participate in the BCL Semi-Finals for the first time in history.

The winners of the two Semi-Finals will battle on Sunday, May 14, in the Final, which will crown the 2022-23 BCL champion, with the Third-Place Game taking place earlier that day.

Tickets to the big event will go on sale on Thursday for season ticket holders and on Saturday for the general public.

The impressive auditorium of Museo Picasso Malaga, the museum which celebrates the genius of the city's famous son, provided the stage for the draw ceremony on Tuesday, and the overwhelming passion with which Malaga is preparing to host the BCL Final Four was palpable in the spectacular room.

Malaga City Mayor Francisco de la Torre, Malaga Provincial Council President Francisco Salado, Delegate for Tourism, Culture, and Sports in Andalusia's regional government Gemma del Corral, and Unicaja President Antonio López Nieto were on hand to convey the feeling of enthusiasm that runs through the city ever since it was announced as the host and their conviction that the 2023 Final Four will be a huge organizational success.

BCL CEO Patrick Comninos conducted the draw with the help of the city mayor and, alongside the local government representatives and the president of Unicaja, fielded questions from the media during the ceremony.

The venue of the 2023 Final Four is the largest indoor multi-purpose sports arena in southern Spain, Palacio de Deportes Jose Maria Martin Carpena, which has a seating capacity of 11,300.

The media accreditation process for the Final Four will commence on Wednesday.
