Head coach Christos Serelis addressed the subject after the domestic game.
"It's an internal team issue. In the next day or two, you will have news," Serelis told ERT.
Hours after the news broke out about the suspension, the player himself took to Instagram to address the situation, although indirectly.
"I'm so misunderstood it makes no sense but I swear I'm [a]bout business every time I step in between those lines," Bacon wrote on an Instagram story. "My will to win is always there, the work I put in is there, won't let them fool me like I ain't worth the bumps and bruises, this is a lot of pain poured into something I truly love to do! Stay blessed!
"Never disrespect someone with a good heart who made sure you were good when no one else was there," he added in another IG story before inviting his followers to check out his new business page.
Earlier, Bacon had posted a story with a quote "Nobody apologized for how they treated me, they just blamed me for how I reacted."
Bacon has been at the crossroads with the Panathinaikos organization multiple times this season. Last month, Bacon was benched before the EuroLeague game against Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet Belgrade on March 10th. It was later revealed that Bacon partied all night with AS Monaco superstar guard Mike James and was later for the next day's practice.
After coming to Panathinaikos, Bacon has been the undeniable leader of the squad and finished the EuroLeague season, averaging 16.6 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 2.0 assists for 12 PIR.
