The league has announced that the player will receive a €1,500 fine:
Mr Wade Baldwin IV, the player of Maccabi Playtika Tel-Aviv, has been sanctioned with a fine of €1,500 for committing acts that show a lack of respect towards the officiating crew, on the occasion of its away game against AS MONACO under Article 27.2.b) of the Euroleague Basketball Disciplinary Code.
"That's the play that we have. "Flash." But it's okay, it's misinterpreted, I understand. The miscommunication, I guess," Baldwin told BasketNews about how the referees might have misinterpreted his gestures, thinking he was showing that they were getting bribed.
Darrun Hilliard and Baldwin were ejected during an intense game that saw Maccabi representatives receiving six technical fouls. That's the most in the EuroLeague history since 2007.
