"Absolutely, I'm gonna stay next season," he told Rai Sport. "We'll continue together with great confidence. We already did some good things along the way, I believe we'll do other good things in the future.
"Of course, we cannot say that we're happy with what happened this season in EuroLeague," he added. "But only one team can win the league, and sometimes people don't understand this. If only one can win, it doesn't mean that all the others don't know what they're doing."
Nine days ago, Milan's general manager Christos Stavropoulos expressed his full trust in Messina while talking to ERT.
"A very difficult year with many misfortunes. We lost important players from the beginning of the season and it was a key part of our failure in the EuroLeague," the executive started off. "We practiced with all our players for the first time [just] three weeks ago.
"We are now looking at the Italian league, we are not done yet," he continued. "Ettore Messina will be at Armani next season as well, he has a contract."
