According to Arale Weisberg from WallaSport, ahead of their arrival in Serbia on Monday, Real Madrid have demanded increased security for 24 hours at the hotel, a police escort on the way to their practice session at Stark Arena, and security guards near the bench during the game.
After the stormy weekend, which began with the mass brawl between the players from both sides, and continued with the sanctions imposed by the EuroLeague on Friday afternoon, the tensions in the playoff series will reach a new peak.
Real Madrid are expected to land in Belgrade on Monday evening, after holding the final practice session in Spain. Game 3 will take place at 20:30 CET on Tuesday, in front of more than 20,000 spectators. Before their arrival, Madrid presented a list of demands to Partizan to guarantee their safety and security.
Here's what they asked for:
* A bus will pick up the delegation from the aircraft parking area at the airport, to avoid entering the terminal and any contact with the public.
* Close police escort during the team's movement: from the airport to the hotel, from the hotel to the arena and back, both for practices and games, from the hotel to the airport and vice versa.
* Security around the hotel for all hours of the day.
* Team security will be increased in the arena, and near the bench in particular, during the game.
Per the same report, all conditions were approved by Partizan and the authorities in Belgrade.
Partizan need one more victory to qualify for the Final Four at the expense of Real Madrid, but following the decision of the EuroLeague judge, they will play without Kevin Punter (two-game suspension) and Mathias Lessort (one game). Dante Exum, who was injured by Guerschon Yabusele, remains questionable, and so is Edy Tavares from Real Madrid's side.
Chus Mateo's squad will be deprived of Yabusele and Deck, who received game suspensions.
