Among the praises to the Kings team, Green also expressed his lost respect for All-Star center Domantas Sabonis because he did not shake hands with GSW players after losing Game 7.
"Lost a lot of respect for [Domantas] Sabonis," Green said on his podcast. "You don't want to shake guys' hands after you lose, I don't respect that.
"I once left the court when we lost in Game 7 against Cleveland Cavaliers. And I went to my locker room, I sat down and I said, 'This don't feel right.' And I walked back to the court and I showed everybody love. You lost, deal with it. Pay your respect. That was wack to me. I don't respect that. That's wack."
The two had a history throughout the seven-game series.
Green was suspended one game for stomping on the chest of Sabonis during the fourth quarter of Game 2.
After Green stomped on Sabonis' chest, he engaged with the crowd at Golden 1 Center while the referees reviewed the incident. The GSW forwardwas eventually ejected from the game, while Sabonis received a technical foul for grabbing Green's leg before the stomp.
Draymond Green also went on to mention that he was impressed with the effort and fighting spirit that the Kings displayed during the first-round series.
Green is looking forward to future battles and competition against the Kings, suggesting that he views them as worthy opponents who will continue to challenge Golden State in the future.
"Sacramento Kings organization, Sacramento Kings fanbase, De'Aaron Fox, Malik Monk, Mike Brown, and company, I gained a lot of respect," Green said.
"You lose a lot of respect for guys in these playoff series," he added. "I tell you, I got a lot of respect for them. They showed up. Trey Lyles. They fought. Terrence Davis. I respect Harrison [Barnes] taking less minutes, less overall, as the leader of that team, one of few guys that has experience in the playoffs.
"I want to say that's not the last [time] we see that group. I look forward to the battles, challenge of it, and the competition."
After eliminating Sacramento, Golden State will play the second-round series against the Los Angeles Lakers. Game 1 is scheduled for Tuesday at the Chase Center in San Francisco.
