They certainly have an equally tough decision to make when it comes to someone like Trey Lyles and Sasha Vezenkov, who is factored into the equation of coming over after this summer and joining the team. As I have been told, 90% in for coming to Sacramento," Cunningham said of Vezenkov.
"Rebounding, toughness, defense -- all the keywords and phrases you can come up with throughout this course of the season. Certainly, it looks that way in the playoffs. Maybe it can be someone like Vezenkov, maybe that fits well with someone like Harrison Barnes if you pick him up," a Fox40 reporter added.
Vezenkov is bound by a long-term contract with Olympiacos (runs through 2025), but he has an NBA out after the current season is over.
The 27-year-old Bulgarian drew attention from the Kings past off-season but decided to stay in Europe for his fifth season with the Reds.
Vezenkov is now fully committed to Olympiacos' playoff series against Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul. The best-of-five series is tied at 1-1, while the upcoming two games will be played in Turkey.
