Per the same report, angioedema was performed on suspicion of a heart attack, but it might not be the case.

Sports Digitale initially reported that the 33-year-old Singleton suffered a heart attack.

Shortly after the news broke out, Anadolu Efes released an official announcement regarding Singleton's health condition.

"Coronary angiography of Chris Singleton, who is being tested today after chest pain, was found to be clean. Further examinations of our player are continuing. During this period, he will be kept under observation and the developments will be shared by our club," the official team report reads.

After some time, another update came from the Efes side.

"As a result of advanced radiological evaluation and cardiac examinations performed on Chris Singleton, doctors detected pericarditis and bilateral pleural effusion. In the examinations, an aneurysm was observed at the level of the sinus valsalva of the aorta, but no dissection was observed. The examination and treatment of our player continue in the hospital. Singleton will spend today in the hospital. His condition will be evaluated again tomorrow. Developments will be shared by our club."

The news comes after an accident with team captain Bryant Dunston, who was involved in a severe car crash on Saturday.

Dunston's vehicle got trapped under a lorry. Luckily, he avoided serious injury and has already been released from the hospital.

Both Dunston and Singleton are back-to-back EuroLeague champions (2021, 2022).
