Navarro expressed his disappointment with the punishments given to players involved in a recent brawl during a game between Real and Partizan, stating that the sanctions were too weak.

FC Barcelona general manager Juan Carlos Navarro has no immediate plans to discuss the contract renewal of Sarunas Jasikevicius.

The full focus is currently on the EuroLeague playoffs and any conversations about renewal will likely take place after the Final Four.

"Now, it's not the time to talk about Saras' renewal," Navarro told RAC1. "We are fully involved in the EuroLeague, and we will do it when the Final Four has passed. He is happy and so am I. There is no rush. He himself told us that we will talk later."

Jasikevicius' deal with Barca expires after the 2022-23 season. So far, the Lithuanian mastermind has guided the Catalans to one ACB title and two Spanish Cup titles.

Besides the contract extension topic, Navarro also discussed another hot subject in European basketball -- Game 2 brawl in Madrid, which resulted in multiple suspensions given for Real and Partizan players.

Guerschon Yabusele was sanctioned with the biggest penalty of all involved players -- a 5-game suspension. Kevin Punter was handed a 2-game suspension, while Mathias Lessort and Gabriel Deck received punishment for one game.

Navarro believes those punishments were too soft.

"What happened in Madrid was unfortunate. It can't happen either inside or outside the court. It was pathetic. It got out of hand, and it can't happen again. Sanctions have been a little weak," the Spanish legend underlined.

Navarro's team meets Zalgiris Kaunas on Wednesday night at Zalgiro Arena with an opportunity to complete the sweep.
