Game 3 of the EuroLeague quarterfinal series between Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade and Real Madrid offered a wide array of emotions for basketball fans. However, the morning after the game, only one feeling existed in the entire country of Serbia - devastation.

In the morning hours, at around 8:40 AM local time, a 14-year-old kid entered Vladislav Ribnikar Elementary School, fatally shot the security guard, and ended up killing 8 schoolchildren.

It was the first shooting of that kind in the country's history. The Minister of Education, Branko Ruzic, has announced a three-day - Friday, Saturday, and Sunday - mourning period in the entire country.

Even though there was initially some talk about a possible postponement of the game on Thursday, the matchup is set to go as scheduled.

However, there won't be any songs or music played through the speakers, there won't be any games for the spectators, and no other festivities around the Stark Arena, contrary to what took place in Game 3.

Additionally, there will be a minute of silence before the start of the game.

"Before I talk about the game, I just want to send my condolences and prayers to the families affected today here in Belgrade. There was a school shooting that I was informed about before this meeting," Nigel Williams-Goss said before Real Madrid's practice on Wednesday. "Having a son of my own and a second one on the way, I feel for all the parents in the community that were affected by this."

After serving a one-game suspension, Gabriel Deck and Mathias Lessort will compete on the court on Thursday.

Partizan lead the series 2-1. The game is scheduled at 20:30 CET.
