Gran Canaria dominated in the first half. After AJ Slaughter's two-point shot with 3:26 remaining in the second quarter, the difference between the teams reached 22 points (46:24).

However, Ankara started slowly pushing back and inching toward an even game. With 5 minutes left in the game, Jerian Grant's jumper narrowed the deficit to just 2 points (62:64)

Even though both teams struggled to score in the last quarter, Gran Canaria managed to make key defensive plays during clutch time.

Andrew Albicy played a key role in the final minutes. First, he caused an offensive foul by Tony Taylor during a fast break. Two minutes later, the guard made a key steal and converted a layup to push the lead up to 7 with just 8 seconds remaining (71:64).

John Shurna led the way with 18 points on 7-for-11 shooting and was named the MVP of the final.

AJ Slaughter added 15 points, while Andrew Albicy finished the game with 11 points, 3 assists, and 3 steals for a team-leading 18 PIR.
