WNBA gives out peak performer awards to Loyd, Thomas, Vandersloot

Seattle Storm guard Jewell Loyd,Connecticut Sun forward Alyssa Thomas and New York Liberty guardCourtney Vandersloot have earned the 2023 WNBA Peak PerformerAwards as the league leaders in points, rebounds and assists pergame, respectively.

2023 SCORINGLEADER

Jewell Loyd, Seattle Storm – 24.7PPG

Loyd is the WNBA's scoring leader forthe first time. She finished with the second-highest single-seasonscoring average in league history (24.7 points per game) and tied aWNBA record with 12 games of 30 or more points. Her 939 totalpoints were the most ever in a season.

2023 REBOUNDINGLEADER

Alyssa Thomas, Connecticut Sun – 9.9RPG

Thomas is the WNBA'srebounding leaderfor the first time. She also set league records for mosttriple-doubles (six) and total assists (316) in a season.

2023 ASSISTSLEADER

Courtney Vandersloot, New York Liberty– 8.1 APG

Vandersloot is the WNBA's assistsleader for the seventh time. She recorded at least 10 assists in 14games.
