After defeating Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul in the EuroLeague quarterfinal series, Olympiacos Piraeus advanced to the Final Four. The club expects a significant number of its fans to arrive in Kaunas and witness the mini-tournament live.

Olympiacos comfortably defeated PAOK in the Greek League (ESAKE) on Saturday. During the game, the club's sports director Christos Bafes talked with Greek ERT television about the upcoming weekend in Lithuania.

"The days are few and it's a difficult task because we have one week less to prepare [than we had last year]. We won't have the same image as last year because there were many Olympiacos fans who arrived in Belgrade by ar [last year].We hope that there will be more than 4000 supporters, this is our estimate for Kaunas," he said.

"Before the series with Fenerbahce, 2,500 fans had bought tickets [to the Final Four].If we calculate that Olympiacos got around 700 tickets at its disposal, the number goes up," Bafes said about the tickets that were assigned to the finalist teams. "You know that sports fans have a process of finding tickets through other means. We had 850 applications from the season holders [as well]."

Olympiacos will meet against AS Monaco in the first semifinal on Friday, May 19th, at 17:00 CET.
