Damian Lillard has a clear message for Portland Trail Blazers fans who are suggesting the team should trade the highly acclaimed seven-time All-Star.

In response to a fan's Twitter post, Lillard advised those wanting him to be dealt to create a petition and submit it, accompanied by a shrug emoji.
"If the fans wanna trade me … start the petition and send it in."
The recent lottery results have presented numerous opportunities for general manager Joe Cronin to explore during the upcoming offseason. By moving up two spots, the Blazers secured the coveted No. 3 pick in the 2023 draft.
Cronin acknowledged the significance of winning the third pick, stating that it could prove beneficial for the team or another party, depending on their approach to the draft.
As of now, there is no indication that Lillard desires to leave Portland. Last offseason, he committed to a lucrative two-year extension worth $121.8 million, which will come into effect during the 2025-26 season.
Following a season marred by injuries, Lillard had a remarkable bounce-back performance in 2022-23. He achieved a career-high average of 32.2 points per game while maintaining a solid 37.1 percent shooting accuracy from beyond the arc.
The Blazers' failure to qualify for the playoffs in consecutive seasons marks the first time since 2011-12 and 2012-13 that they have experienced such a setback.
