In his first year as Turk Telekom boss, Can guided the team to a 13-5 EuroCup regular-season record. Currently, the team holds the top position in the Turkish league, with only one game left to play.
Before his tenure with Turk Telekom, Can served as an assistant coach for a decade. He worked under prominent coaches such as Neven Spahija (2012-13), Zeljko Obradovic (2013-20), and Igor Kokoskov (2020-21) at Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul. Can also had a stint with the NBA's Utah Jazz under Quin Snyder (2021-22).
Meanwhile, current Anadolu Efes coach and back-to-back EuroLeague champion -- Ergin Ataman -- has a deal in place with Panathinaikos Athens for the next two years.
Despite their consecutive titles, Anadolu Efes failed to secure a spot in the EuroLeague playoffs this season.
