Nikola Mirotic didn't give a concrete answer when asked in an interview with Rac-1 if he will try again to be in a Final Four with FC Barcelona.

His team fell in the semifinals against Real Madrid, so Barca's star player has already recorded three consecutive appearances in a Final Four without having been able to win the title. It's not the first time that Mirotic has made public statements explaining that his future is uncertain, despite the fact that he has two more years left on his contract with Barca.

However, according to El Mundo Deportivo, the club plans to cut the budget and that can make the player's salary unaffordable. Mirotic' s poor performance in the semifinal Clasico (3 points, on 1/10 from the field, and -2 in Performance Index Rating) doesn't help.

"I have a contract with Barcelona and I would like to finish it. But there are players, in basketball and other sports, who sometimes have not been able to fulfill their contract until the end of it," the Montenegrin forward told the media in the Zalgirio arena on the eve of the 3rd-place game featuring Barca and AS Monaco.

"We'll see what happens with my future, although - as I've said before - I have two more years [until 2025] on my contract. Obviously, I would like to fulfill it, but nothing has been really decided yet," he went on to say.

Less than a week ago, Mirotic stated that "I have a contract, but what is going to happen isn't up to me. I am very aware of the things that are happening within the club."

After the elimination in the semifinals at the hands of Real Madrid, the power forward was asked if he will try again to be with Barca in a Final Four and his answer was, "We'll see."

After the semifinal match, in an interview with DAZN, Mirotic explained that "it is very difficult to get here, it is another opportunity that might not present itself ever again."

When the interviewer told him "Let's hope let there be more opportunities," Mirotic responded with "Well, we'll see".

"I assume a great part of responsibility, I have not been at the level expected of me," he added. "I have not been able to help the team, I feel very bad. I have to tell our fans that I am sorry. Thank you for supporting us and for coming here. It's a very tough day."
