Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet Belgrade, meanwhile, signed a guard duo that was the talk of the town throughout the regular season.
Talking about the teams from his home country of Serbia, Bodiroga expressed the desire to retain them for a prolonged future.
"They had extremely successful seasons. Partizan were close to the Final Four, and Crvena Zvezda were close to entering the playoffs. It is an advantage for the EuroLeague that such a story is sent from Belgrade and Serbia," the president said in an interview with Aleksandra Radivojevic from SportKlub Srbija.
"We had 25-30 thousand people watching basketball every week [live in arenas in Belgrade]. I think there are good chances for their future [in the league] and it would be great if we always had two clubs [from Belgrade]," Bodiroga told. "We'll see about it next month."
