After this EuroLeague final, everyone will be talking about Sergio Llull's shot for a long time.

Then, about the other veterans from Madrid, especially Sergio Rodriguez, who displayed some of the best stretches in his career.

Of course, about Edy Tavares, who had a fantastic post-season and also received a well-deserved MVP award.

But the man who also deserves credit in this championship story is Nigel Williams-Goss.

Having shown solid basketball in the playoffs against Partizan Belgrade and playing an important role in the Final Four, the American scored 9 points in the final game vs. Olympiacos and contributed with an all-around performance, lifting the team when they needed it most.

But everything would have been in vain if Sergio Llull hadn't made that magical shot on the evening of May 21st.

"It's a legendary play. By a legendary player. In a legendary career. I was fortunate to play with Spanoulis, now playing with Chacho or Rudy, and Llull, it's amazing to watch those guys at their craft. Sergio did it again."

"This is an unbelievable experience to be the EuroLeague champions. Not too many people can say that they won the EuroLeague," said the newly crowned EuroLeague champion.

Since his 22-point performance in a do-or-die Game 3 in Belgrade, Williams-Goss has averaged 11.4 points and 2.0 assists, shooting 50% from 2-point range and 40% from 3-point range.

These are solid numbers that could even determine the fate of Williams-Goss as a free agent in Madrid and in the EuroLeague.

"You come to Madrid to be a part of a collective. If you want individual stats or accolades, you're going to other teams, playing more minutes, and playing a bigger role. But you come here to win. That means sacrificing at times, but being ready when your number is called in big moments," Williams-Goss said to BasketNews.

"I think you saw throughout the playoffs that multiple times, different guys stepped up when they needed to. And now, as a collective, we're all champions," the 28-year-old guard proudly declared.

After the game, Partizan Belgrade congratulated Real on their championship title, showcasing a gesture of sportsmanship.

"It shows a lot of character and integrity by Partizan. I have nothing but respect and love for the club. It doesn't surprise me that they act with class. But this was a great accomplishment for the Real Madrid organization," concluded Williams-Goss, who used to play for Partizan.
