Having enjoyed a successful career spanning 19 seasons, Anthony's last NBA appearance was as a member of the Los Angeles Lakers during the previous season.

With a remarkable track record that includes 10 All-Star selections and six All-NBA team honors, Anthony concludes his career as the ninth-highest scorer in NBA history. Only basketball legends such as LeBron James, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Karl Malone, Kobe Bryant, Michael Jordan, Dirk Nowitzki, Wilt Chamberlain, and Shaquille O'Neal have tallied more points than Anthony, who amassed a total of 28,289 points.

Throughout his career, Anthony earned immense respect from fellow players, teams, and former coaches.

As expected, numerous tributes and expressions of admiration poured in from various sources to honor Melo upon his retirement announcement. Among the first to pay tribute was his close friend LeBron James, who took to his Instagram story to share a heartfelt message celebrating Anthony's remarkable career.
