"I want to play for sure. I can't wait to write another history this summer," Schroder said. "That would be crazy for Germany, for myself, and the Federation. I'm ready for it."
Schroder added that he will take some time for holidays before starting his preparation for the World Cup that will take place in the Philippines, Japan, and Indonesia.
"I'm going to take two weeks off to spend time with my family," Schroder continued. "They are sacrificing so much being there for me. My wife is doing everything for me so I can be at my highest level of playing."
"I didn't see my kids much, so I'm going to take 1-2 weeks off to spend time with them. Then I’m I'mng to Germany to see my family there and my friends. A couple of weeks later, the training camp starts for the World Cup," he added.
Last summer, Schroder led Germany to 3rd place in the EuroBasket 2022 and was named to All-Tournament Team after averaging 22.1 points, 2.3 rebounds, 7.1 assists, and 17.3 EFF per game.
This season, Schroder averaged 12.6 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 4.5 assists per game over 66 appearances for the Lakers.
