The team's captain admitted that the issue doesn't make him feel comfortable ahead of Valencia's ACB playoff clash with FC Barcelona. The series tips off next Monday and the Catalan side has the home-court advantage, having finished first in the regular season.

"It's true that for me it is a bit strange and the situation isn't very comfortable," Dubljevic admitted to EFE.

"I still have a contract here and until it's over I'm not going to think about the future, about what's going to happen in a few weeks. I want to give my best and I don't know if it's my last year or not, but I'm going to give my best until the last day," the 31-year-old big man pointed out.

The Montenegrin athlete said that he's willing to stay in Valencia, although he added that it takes two to reach an agreement.

"I have said many times that I wanted to stay and finish my career here and that hasn't changed," he repeated. "It's my dream, but you need two parts to make it happen. But that's for later to discuss, now it's not the time to think about it, he added.

The interior said that Valencia have fought all season long to be able to make the playoffs and take on "one of the best teams in Europe."

"We want to give our fans confidence again, we need to play together as a team and give our best”, he stated.

Dubljevic said he had not heard Alex Mumbru's criticism of the team after the loss against Río Breogan on Wednesday. The Spanish coach assured that he was very angry with his team for the way they lost because they did not fight as they should have done, in a match that would have left them out of the playoffs if UCAM Murcia had won.

"I am very angry because we depended on us," said Mumbru, who stressed that there may be games where things don't work out.

"If that happens, you fight, you crash the boards, and throw yourself to the ground. I am the person in charge. I understand that people left the arena angry and booed us at the end," he acknowledged.

"I don't know anything of that," Dubljevic responded. "It's true that we didn't play well and we didn't fight, I don't know why," he went on to say. "We need to forget all those things."
