However, the player took to Twitter to contradict the report and question its veracity.

"I've spoken to no club other than FC Bayern," Zipser, 29 wrote. "So I would like to know where Mr. Heusel's and other persons' information has come from," he asked.

"But thank you for all the messages and congratulations," Zipser's tweet concluded.

The forward has one more year left on his current contract with Bayern.

Zipser made his pro debut in 2011 with MLP Academics Heidelberg in the second German division. After three years with the team, the 29-year-old transferred to Bayern, where he had his first stint in Munich.

In 2016, Zipser tried his luck in the NBA. He spent two seasons with the Chicago Bulls and their G League affiliate, the Windy City Bulls.

Zipser played 98 games in the NBA, averaging 4.7 points and 2.6 rebounds over 17 minutes.

The 2.03-meter forward came back to Europe in 2018, joining San Pablo Burgos. After one year with the Spanish squad, Zipser returned to Bayern in 2019.

Zipser recorded 2.8 points, 1.1 rebounds, and 1.9 PIR over 20 EuroLeague games (nine minutes) this past season.
