He marveled at the 7-foot center's ball-handling skills and his role as the initiator of Denver's offense.
"Jokic, let me tell y'all something -- this dude is so f***ing good. Straight up. I haven't seen anything like him. The way he passes -- you've got a 7-foot, 7-foot-1 center bringing up the ball, initiating the offense. Everything goes through him. It is amazing," T-Mac said on the What's Burnin' Show.
"The passes that he makes from one side of the court to another, on time and on target. The bounce passes in between defenses. You can't guard him on the post 'cause he is too big, he can't jump over a dollar bill, he rebounds, he is amazing," McGrady also said.
In fact, a seven-time All-Star went as far as to express his desire to have played alongside Jokic, drawing a comparison to the legendary point guard Jason Kidd.
"If there was one person I would wanna play with. I would love to play with him [Jokic]. He is a problem. He is like Jason Kidd as a point guard. Those guys don't have to score to affect the game, but he can score. What can't he do?" the 44-year-old added.
"He is everything I love in a basketball player," McGrady concluded.
Jokic made an impressive performance in Game 1 of the NBA Finals against the Miami Heat, where he recorded a triple-double of 27 points, 10 rebounds, and 14 assists, joining Kidd as the only players in NBA history to achieve this feat in their NBA Finals debut.
