The ABA League and Serbian League leaders have reached an agreement to reschedule the finals of both competitions in order to prevent a conflicting schedule for Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet Belgrade. However, Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade have not accepted the proposed changes.

Despite that, ABA League released an official schedule this morning where the start of the series is scheduled in Stark Arena on Tuesday, June 13.

The following dates are June 15 and 18, with June 20 and 23 as options for the fourth or fifth game if necessary.

Partizan wanted the games to be played as originally planned: June 12, 14, 17, 19, and 22. In that scenario, Crvena Zvezda would need to defeat FMP in the Serbian League Finals within two games to avoid the conflicting schedule, as the Serbian League Finals are scheduled for June 9, June 11, and, if necessary, June 12.

ABA League denied Partizan's official letter.

Serbian League Finals (best-of-three series):

June 9: Zvezda - FMP June 11: FMP - Zvezda *June 12: Zvezda - FMP

ABA League Finals (best-of-five series):

June 13: Partizan - Zvezda June 15: Partizan - Zvezda June 18: Zvezda - Partizan *June 20: Zvezda - Partizan *June 23: Partizan - Zvezda

Partizan's letter

Dear gentlemen, we appreciate the management's efforts to somehow solve the problem that suddenly arose due to the determination of the same date for the matches of the ABA League and the Serbian League.

We do not know how it is possible and why such a problem occurred. Regarding your proposal to change the schedule at the last moment, after consulting with the commercial services of the club, the administration, and the professional staff, we have concluded, unfortunately, that KK Partizan cannot accept the proposed schedule change. Our expectation is to adhere to the rules that we all in the ABA League have adopted.

KK Partizan, in accordance with the competition calendar and the received notification about the game dates (published and available on the league's official website), previously released tickets for Game 1 of the ABA League Finals, of which a large number of tickets were sold. The club expects a record attendance.

It is known that our games are followed by a large number of fans, many of whom live outside Belgrade. It is clear that our club has a very good relationship with fans. Our club is grateful to them for their unwavering support and takes care of them (as well as they take care of their club).

KK Partizan cannot and will not let down its fans who have already bought tickets for Game 1. That is why it would be irresponsible to accept the deadline set by the league management, who are authorized to do so. So, our answer to your question is that KK Partizan does not agree with the change of date. Please let us know the exact time of Game 1 on June 12, 2023.

Thank you for reading us! We have even more content for you.
