Isaac Bonga is expected to stay in Bayern Munich for another season, sources tell BasketNews.

Isaac Bonga is expected to continue his career with Bayern Munich for the 2023-24 season, according to BasketNews sources.

Despite signing a two-year contract with Bayern last summer, the 23-year-old 2.04 m forward had an exit clause in his agreement, which would have allowed him to leave the club.

Nevertheless, Bonga has expressed his commitment to stay with Bayern for another year, sources tell BasketNews.

Bonga joined Bayern last season after returning from the NBA, where he represented the Los Angeles Lakers, Washington Wizards, and Toronto Raptors from 2018 to 2022.

In 30 EuroLeague games, averaging around 20 minutes per game, Bonga scored 6.4 points, grabbed 3.9 rebounds, and made 1.1 assists.

His most impressive performance came against Olympiacos Piraeus, where he scored 16 points, collected five rebounds, stole three balls, made four assists, and earned a total of 24 performance index rating.

In the German league, he averaged 8.8 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 1.7 assists in 22 minutes per game.
