On Sunday, tennis superstar Novak Djokovic won the Roland Garros tournament, winning his 23rd Grand Slam and becoming the all-time leader in Grand Slam titles.
Jokic was in awe of the achievement.
"Yes, I saw it. How many times is it now? 23? Enough already. Just kidding. Truly, there are no words to describe him anymore. Everyone has already said everything [about him]. He's a master of his craft and probably one of the greatest to ever play tennis," Jokic said in a press conference before Game 5.
Talking about Rajakovic, Jokic praised the specialist and was sure his tenure with the Raptors was going to be successful.
"I love it, he's a great guy, I really appreciate him," Jokic said about the Raptors' choice. "He's been here for a long long time from the G-League coach to an NBA coach, I think it's a lot of respect for him and his work. I think he deserves it. He's been through a lot and I think he's going to do a great job there."
"He's the second Serbian coach to be an NBA head coach - Igor was first, he's second. The NBA is growing, the front offices are trying to see [if] maybe some other guys are willing to step up and they're going to do a good job," he concluded.
