According to the official message from the German team, Pablo Laso has become the new head coach. The organization signed a two-year deal with the Spanish specialist.

Laso spent the last season as a free agent after getting let go by Real Madrid the last summer after experiencing health issues during the final series of the Spanish Liga Endesa (ACB).

Laso is a two-time EuroLeague champion with Real Madrid.

Bayern were eliminated in the German League (BBL) by ratiopharm Ulm this season. With 11 wins and 23 losses, Bayern finished the season in the EuroLeague in 15th place.

The German team made the playoffs as the 8th seed the season before but was eliminated in the quarterfinals by FC Barcelona in a tight 5-game series.
