As reported by BasketNews' Lukas Malinauskas, both EuroLeague referees have received an invitation to officiate in the 2023 NBA Summer League in Las Vegas.
This will be Vilius' third time working in the NBA Summer League, having previously officiated in 2017 and 2022. Last summer, he was assigned to three games in Las Vegas.
Having officiated in the EuroLeague final for three straight seasons, Vilius partnered with Difallah and Sasa Pukl this year.
During the Summer League, the NBA arranges morning lectures for referees, followed by match assignments in the evening. The 2023 Summer League is scheduled to take place from July 7th to July 17th.
In the previous edition of the summer tournament, several FIBA refs, including Latvian Martins Kozlovskis, had an opportunity to officiate for the NBA teams.
Previously, it was customary to have a single EuroLeague referee present at the Summer League, however, this year, the number has been doubled.
