After four seasons in the EuroCup, Promitheas Patras are ready for a change.

According to multiple reports in the Greek media, the club will leave the EuroCup competition and will play in the Basketball Champions League (BCL) instead.

Throughout the four years, Promitheas have reached the quarterfinal stage twice. First, it was done in 2020 when the season was suspended due to COVID-19. The team did it for the second time this season and got eliminated by Prometey Slobozhanske.

The 2020-21 and 2021-22 seasons were not as successful as the roster ended the year after the regular season.

Before coming to the EuroCup, Promitheas competed in the BCL during the 2018-19 season and reached the Round of 16 stage and were eliminated by Lenovo Tenerife.

Promitheas finished the regular season 5th in the Greek League (ESAKE) but were eliminated from title contention by PAOK mateco in the quarterfinals.
