As Hapoel players were entering the court with around 20 minutes remaining until the start of the match, Hapoel's Chinanu Onuaku had a conflict with a Maccabi fan.
Together with his teammates, Onuaku was entering the court by running up the ladder. As he was approaching the court, one of the Maccabi fans hit him in the head.
Onuaku immediately turned around and confronted the fan. Moments later, the fan spat on Onuaku. After being stopped by security, the player quickly turned around and spat on the fan.
Sport5 note that Hapoel have asked for increased security due to multiple insults and spitting by the nearby fans.
