Utah Jazz center Walker Kessler has committed to play for Team USA in the upcoming FIBA Basketball World Cup, reports Adrian Wojnarowski from ESPN.

Kessler finished his rookie season averaging 9.2 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 2.3 blocks per game over 74 appearances.

The 21-year-old was named to NBA All-Rookie First Team and finished third in the NBA Rookie of the Year voting.

FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 will take place from August 25 to September 10, 2023.

Team USA's training camp will begin on August 3 in Las Vegas, followed by an exhibition game against Puerto Rico on August 7.

They will then launch a two-week tour in Spain and the United Arab Emirates before starting World Cup play on August 26 against New Zealand.
