"I feel like when my time's up, and I retire, and I put the shoes up... I feel like there's going to be people who are going to say that I changed the game," Towns said during an appearance on the Pat Bev Podcast. "And I'm going to be very appreciative of that."
Towns finished the 2022-23 season, averaging 20.8 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 4.8 assists per game in 29 appearances.
The 27-year-old has been named NBA All-Star three times.
However, Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green mocked such a statement, asking for an invite to Pat Bev Podcast.
"Aye, Patrick, when people come on, yo show they change the game!!!?!? I'm looking forward to it, man," Green tweeted
