Kuzma signed a three-year $39 million deal back in 2021 with a $13 million player option for the 2023-24 NBA season. The organization could re-sign Kuzma or manufacture a sign-and-trade deal but it's currently unclear whether they will choose this option, Stein writes.
The Wizards also face the possibility of longtime superstar guard Bradley Beal leaving the franchise as the two sides are working on a possibility of him getting traded, Shams Charania from The Athletic reports.
Additionally, Kristaps Porzingis is set to make a similar decision to Kuzma's regarding his future with the Wizards as he also has a player option in his deal with the franchise.
