As 9News reported, the incident happened in the area of 17th and Curtis streets in downtown Denver near the end of the celebration.
Additionally, a police officer was struck by a fire truck near the end of the parade route, the Department announced. "The officer is in serious and stable condition with a serious lower leg injury. The cause of the crash remains under investigation at this time," an update read.
In the early parts of the parade, Nikola Jokic's wife Natalija was hit in the mouth area with a beer can.
