19-year-old phenomenon Victor Wembanyama bid farewell to the domestic championship after his team, Metropolitans 92, suffered a 3-0 series defeat against AS Monaco in the French League Finals.

Wemby is now prepared to make the leap to the NBA, where he is widely anticipated to be the No. 1 overall pick in the upcoming draft.

"I didn't think [as] it was my last [game in France]. I'll be playing games with the national team so, in the end, it's just a 'goodbye'," he said, via Be Basket.

Wembanyama assured everyone that he is fully prepared for the challenges of the NBA.
