Born on May 19, 1981, in Maribor, Slovenia, Becirovic is no stranger to Panathinaikos, as this marks his third term with the Greens.
During his previous tenure from 2006 to 2008, Becirovic wore the team jersey as a player. His contributions include securing the EuroLeague trophy in 2007, as well as clinching two domestic championships and an equal number of Greek Cups in 2007 and 2008.
Following his retirement from professional basketball in 2015, Becirovic made his first return to Panathinaikos, assuming the role of general manager.
From 2019 to 2023, Becirovic further accumulated his experience as the sports director at Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana.
