Pinar Karsiyaka Izmir will host Anadolu Efes Istanbul in the third match of the final series of the Turkish Basketball Super League on Saturday evening (17:00 CET). With the two-time EuroLeague winners leading the series 2-0, the 2015 Turkish champs laid down their complaints about the game officials' decisions in the first two outings.

"We know what we have done so far and what we can do next. I have absolute confidence in all my players and my team. Each match has a different story, but the last match is completely different," coach Ufuk Sarica started his pre-game statements.

"It is not acceptable to call 25 fouls to one side and 13 fouls to the other in a high-level game in the Basketball Super League final series, which is shown among the top three leagues in Europe," the Turkish coach continued.

"In such a tough and tough series, however, a team doesn't even come close to the foul limit for three quarters," he lamented.

Sarica, who's on his second stint with Karsiyaka that started in 2019 after leading the Izmir-based club to the title eight years ago, called the Turkish federation's Central Arbitration Board to implement "a fair and standard approach, befitting the final series on the court from now on."

"Please show the necessary sensitivity in this matter," he asked.

Sarica's statements resonate with what the team's assistant coach Recep Sen said after Game 2, where Karsiyaka saw their head coach get ejected with a double technical foul with 4'40'' left on the game clock, and Sen taking over until the final buzzer.

"Congratulations to Anadolu Efes for getting called so few fouls on them in a final game," Sen ironically stated regarding the referees' decisions.

"There were 25 fouls on us and 13 on them throughout the game, with only nine fouls at the end of the third quarter. There were 5-6 fouls on them in the last quarter alone. It means they are better," he argued in the same tone.

"Now we will go to Izmir, then I believe that we will carry this series back to Istanbul. We will fight until the end."

Tickets to Game 3 were sold out in as little as 15 minutes.

"We would like to thank our fans for the great interest shown in the very limited number of tickets that were printed and offered for sale as much as the capacity of the hall allows," the club announced, before making a venomous remark on Efes and their fans.

"We will continue to fight together until the end of this championship series between those who cannot accommodate more than 4,000 people in their hall with a capacity of 16,500, and those who cannot fit their fans in the hall with a capacity of 5,000."
