Two days after the game, Crvena Zvezda's president Nebojsa Covic called Zeljko Obradovic for his comment after Game 2.
In particular, when the legendary specialist was asked about the insults towards Nedovic's family, Obradovic said that he should not be the one who answers the question.
"Let me tell you something - I'm trying to concentrate on leading the team. Certainly, I heard some things, some I didn't, [and] I certainly didn't hear that," he told during the post-game presser about insults towards Nedovic's wife. "I don't think that's my job. The first day when I became the coach of Partizan, I insisted on some things and tell me if I have ever said any kind of bad word about anyone. I asked for fair play and sportsmanship, that's what I can do."
Crvena Zvezda's president Neboja Covic went on a TV Prva morning show on Saturday to directly attack Obradovic for his past claims.
"Those statements are hypocrisy. I remember the Zvezda-Fenerbahce match in Belgrade - we never worked with the fans on making insulting banners or suggestions. I remember the first match we won against Fener in Belgrade, we were losing [to them every time] until then, and it was great. The first time we won, there was chanting against Zeljko caused by provocation. I don't support that, I consider him a good coach," Covic said. "Then there was a fuss, a panic, I thought I had friends. Then he said that 'If someone is chanting at someone, I will stop it in their hall'. Are people so forgetful?"
After the first two games and first two wins for Partizan in the Stark Arena, Game 3 will be played in the Aleksandar Nikolic Hall on Sunday, June 17th, at 20:30 CET. If necessary, Game 4 will also be played at Pionir on Tuesday, June 19th, at 19:00 CET.
