His team suffered an early exit in the ACB playoffs and Copa del Rey.
Baskonia exhibited an eye-catching basketball for EuroLeague fans, averaging 86.7 points and scoring over 100 points on five occasions last season. Baskonia also became the third team ever to score 120 pointsor more in EuroLeague history and the first one in more than 15 years.

Penarroya arrived in Vitoria last summer after a one-year stint with Valencia Basket. He is a two-time FIBA Champions League winner with San Pablo Burgos in 2020 and 2021.
