Washington earlier acquired Paul for Bradley Beal. According to Chris Haynes of Bleacher Report, Golden State will not waive Paul and is looking forward to partnering with the star to make a championship run in the 2023-24 season.
Although Paul experienced a career-low scoring average of 13.9 points in the previous season, he remained one of the most sought-after guards in the league due to his exceptional playmaking skills.
Despite his age of 38, Paul continues to chase his first NBA title and remains a valuable asset for any team.
Poole, meanwhile, had a turbulent 2022-23 NBA season, which ended after a Western Conference semifinal defeat against the Los Angeles Lakers.
During the preseason, Poole was involved in a physical altercation with teammate Draymond Green. Furthermore, the 23-year-old guard faced criticism during the Warriors' most recent playoff run, averaging 10.3 points, 3.5 assists, and 2.2 rebounds in 13 games, despite posting 20.4 points and 4.5 assists over 82 regular-season contests.
