He averaged 8.6 points and 3.8 rebounds over 22 EuroCup games this past season, receiving the Rising Star award. His ACB League averages marked 9.4 points and 3.3 boards across 36 appearances.
Balcerowski won't be the sole newbie to the Celtics' Summer League roster, as they are also anticipated to include Mychal Mulder, Jay Scrubb, and Justin Bean into the team.
These new faces will compensate for the absence of Yam Madar and Juhann Begarin, recent Celtics draft picks who reportedly won't be part of the Summer League squad due to their commitments with their respective international clubs.
Madar, Boston's second-round pick in 2020, had a solid second season with Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade and was honored as the 2023 EuroLeague Rising Star. The 22-year-old remains under contract with the Serbian powerhouse for another season.
Begarin, who was drafted by the Celtics in the second round in 2021, recently signed a two-year contract with Nanterre 92 in the LNB Pro A, indicating that he will likely stay in France this summer to settle in with his new team.
The 2023 NBA Summer League will be held in Las Vegas from July 7 to July 17.
