Punter will be only the second American to remain with the team for more than two years, following in the footsteps of Marcus Paige.
Paige was a recent member of Partizan from 2018 to 2021. During his three seasons in Belgrade, Paige claimed the Radivoj Korac Cup in 2019 and 2020 and the 2019 ABA League Supercup.
With the arrival of coach Zeljko Obradovic, Paige found himself without a place in the team. Consequently, he spent the past seasons playing for Orleans Loiret Basket and Obradoiro CAB. Surprisingly, at the young age of 29, he recently announced his retirement from professional basketball and transitioned into a coaching role at his former college in North Carolina.
While Jan Vesely and Davis Bertans, two other foreign players, spent three years with the Serbian powerhouse, neither of them remained for four seasons. If Punter successfully completes his new two-year deal, he will create history.
