Kevin Punter has represented Partizan for two years. If Punter successfully completes his new two-year deal with the team, he will create history by becoming the foreign player with the longest tenure at Partizan. Next season, he will also be only the second American to remain with Partizan for more than two years after Marcus Paige.

Great news emerged on Thursday for all Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade fans -- team captain Kevin Punter stays with the black-and-white team for the next two years.

This two-year contract has the potential to etch Punter's name in the Serbian club's history as the foreign player with the longest tenure at Partizan, as Telegraf.rs notes.

Punter will be only the second American to remain with the team for more than two years, following in the footsteps of Marcus Paige.

Paige was a recent member of Partizan from 2018 to 2021. During his three seasons in Belgrade, Paige claimed the Radivoj Korac Cup in 2019 and 2020 and the 2019 ABA League Supercup.

With the arrival of coach Zeljko Obradovic, Paige found himself without a place in the team. Consequently, he spent the past seasons playing for Orleans Loiret Basket and Obradoiro CAB. Surprisingly, at the young age of 29, he recently announced his retirement from professional basketball and transitioned into a coaching role at his former college in North Carolina.

While Jan Vesely and Davis Bertans, two other foreign players, spent three years with the Serbian powerhouse, neither of them remained for four seasons. If Punter successfully completes his new two-year deal, he will create history.
