Bane, 25, averaged 21.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 4.4 assists over 58 games last season.
In the 2020 NBA draft, the Boston Celtics chose Bane as the 30th pick, making him the first TCU player to be selected in the first round since Kurt Thomas in 1995. However, he was later traded to the Grizzlies in exchange for a future pick.
After completing his rookie season, Bane received recognition by being selected for the NBA All-Rookie Second Team. He achieved the highest three-point field goal percentage by a rookie since Stephen Curry, with a minimum of 150 attempts.
