To Olympiacos fans. After many hours of thinking in recent days, I have made the decision to explore the NBA world. Without a doubt, this is the hardest choice I have ever made. Leaving this amazing club after five years, it feels like leaving a piece of my heart behind.
At Olympiacos, I made my dreams come true, I found a family and the warmest home I could imagine. I gave everything I had in every moment I wore this jersey. In our darkest hours, we stayed together, we rose up and we should be proud of what we achieved. Because we fought... until the end.
Words are not enough to thank you. I will carry your support and your love as I start this new chapter. Until our paths cross again, stay strong and keep the flame burning. Once a red, forever red!
The Bulgarian forward has signed a three-year $20 million deal with the Kings. Vezenkov's contract with Olympiacos includes a $1.5 million NBA buyout clause. However, the Kings will be able to pay only $750,000 due to the league's regulations. The remaining sum will have to be covered by the player himself.
Vezenkov will become the second Bulgarian player to play in the NBA after Georgi Glouchkov. If Vezenkov decides to return to Europe after a stint in the NBA, Olympiacos will not hold his rights and the forward will be free to negotiate with any team,Konstantinos Melayes from Gazzetta.gr notes.
