According to Shams Charania from The Athletic, the 34-year-old big man agreed on a two-year $48 million deal to stay with the Bucks.

The Houston Rockets were also interested in acquiring the player but the Bucks ultimately won the battle for the center, Adrian Wojnarowski from ESPN adds.

Last season, the 15-year veteran Lopez averaged 15.9 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 1.3 assists.

After getting eliminated early in the playoffs, the Bucks have now retained both their veterans. Earlier in the week, it was announced that Khris Middleton stays with the team as well.

Together with Milwaukee, Lopez became an NBA champion in 2021. Last season, he was named to the NBA All-Defensive First Team for the first time in his career.
