After two seasons with the Houston Rockets, Spanish forward Usman Garuba is changing teams.

According to Shams Charania from The Athletic, the Rockets are sending Garuba and TyTy Washington Jr. to the Atlanta Hawks alongside draft compensation.

Atlanta will get 2028 Houston's second-rounder, 2025 Minnesota's second-rounder, and $1.1 million cash. In exchange, the Rockets will receive draft rights to Alpha Kaba, Lauren L. Williams from Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Garuba went back and forth between the NBA and the G-League in his first year in the league in 2021. In his sophomore season, the 21-year-old played exclusively in the NBA.

In 75 games with the Rockets, Garuba averaged 3.0 points and 4.1 rebounds per game.

Last year, Garuba became a EuroBasket 2022 winner with the Spanish national team.
