In 57 games last year, Wagner averaged 10.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 1.5 assists for the team. Before coming to the Magic in 2021, Wagner played for the Los Angeles Lakers, Washington Wizards, and the Boston Celtics.
Wagner is likely to represent the German national team in the upcoming 2023 FIBA World Cup.
Earlier in free agency, the Magic landed Joe Ingles on a two-year deal as well. The franchise drafted Anthony Black in the 2023 NBA Draft a week before.
The Magic had the 6th-worst record in the league in the 2022-23 season with 34 wins and 48 losses.
