In 61 games for the team last season, Clarkson averaged his best numbers in his entire 9-year NBA career in all three major statistical categories - 20.8 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 4.4 assists.
Previously known as a prominent role player, Clarkson started all 61 games last season, a feat that he achieved for the first time since the 2015-16 seasons with the Los Angeles Lakers.
Before the start of the new 2023-24 NBA year, the Jazz traded for Atlanta Hawks forward John Collins, giving away Rudy Gay and a future second-round pick.
