The new contract will allow the forward to become an unrestricted free agent in the upcoming summer.
The Hornets forward was accused of assaulting his girlfriend in front of their two children last year. Bridges was arrested on June 29th, 2022, and released the next day on a $130,000 bail.
Bridges pleaded not guilty to three felony domestic violence charges and was sentenced to three years of probation without jail time.
As part of the punishment, the player has to undergo 52 weeks of domestic violence counseling and 52 weeks of parenting classes, serve 100 hours of community service, and perform weekly narcotics testing, with marijuana allowed only if there is a valid doctor's prescription.
Bridges was later suspended for 30 games by the NBA.
In his last season in the league, Bridges averaged 20.2 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 3.8 assists in 35.5 minutes of playing time for the Hornets, appearing in 80 games in the 2021-22 season.
