Arale Weisberg from Walla Sport reports that in the proposed schedule for the 2023-24 season, EuroLeague would have a 2-week break.
EuroLeague shareholders will hold a meeting on Tuesday to decide whether this proposal should be confirmed. If this idea is accepted, EuroLeague players will have an opportunity to play for their national teams during the FIBA Qualifiers window in February.
In the suggested 2-week break, one week would be allocated for domestic cup games, while the other for FIBA Qualifiers.
Meanwhile, FIBA already canceled the Qualifiers window in November, meaning February's window remains the only one that will be played during the club competitions season.
The clashing EuroLeague and FIBA schedules was one of the biggest topics in the organizations' conflict.
Many argued that the best national countries were left out of international competitions because they could not field their best teams during the Qualifiers.
Of course, the NBA players still won't be able to help their countries during the in-season FIBA Qualifier windows.
